Newcomer with lotsa tire questions

I know this has probably been discussed over and over, but I recently purchased a 91 Explorer EB that is in serious need of some tires. While looking at my options I am also trying to decide if I want to lift it. I am going to go with AT's for now, and probably BFG's, but how big can I go? I already have a set of 15X8 AR wheels, from a previous Ranger I had, so whatever size tires I use will have to fit those to keep the cost down. I guess my question is, what do you guys suggest as far as new tires and possibly a lift?

As soon as I got done posting this thread, I saw the chart that Joe93 posted above. Sorry guys new at all this stuff, but any suggestions would be very welcome.
