Had it installed the other day and although i did notice a slight increase in power, i guess i was expecting a little more. But after i installed K&N filter i REALLY noticed a differince. So i dont know if it was K&N alone that did it or a combination of both. BTW i had a hell of a time trying to close my airbox after i put the filter in!, and i am sure it was the correct one. I thought i was going to break the damn thing. Has anybody else had this problem? Also i heard of people drilling the airbox. Does this help?, and how is it done? Here is info on throttle body spacer; its called "helix power tower" (1" width and has grooves on inside, like inside of gun barrel) mine was made by street & performance electronics, little rock,AR. (501-945-0354) dont know if they have website.

I cut a big square out of the front of my airbox, and it felt more powerful than with an open air filter. Be sure and post us some mpg increases with the spacer.

RT, what about vehical emision testing? Do they have that in alabama? And do they look under the hood? They do that here in ky (pain in ass!), but anyway thanks for info, i might try that.

No emissions test or ANYTHING here in Indiana! No friggin' government testing either.

I'm sorry...

I'm sorry, but those TB spacers are really a joke. Unless it's for a carburated application, it's not going to do anything.

However, the K&N is a step in the right direction.

Sorry.

There are no inspections here. On mine, the airbox sits so close to the front of the vehicle, that I doubt anyone would see the cut. You would need a flashlight and a keen eye. I bet those guys just casually look under the hood anyway.

RTStork, what are the dimensions on your exhaust tips? i'm thinking about changing mine to something like that.

next time get a whole new throttle body. then youll tell the difference in my old air box i put a k&N in and i had trouble closing it as well (they are airtight though)

They are 3 1/2" diameter, 12" long.
