Next quest for the project 94 Ranger Splash

Working on the truck the other day and rolled down the drivers window. Now it won't roll back up (they are electric) I noticed there is a gear looking thing under a plug on the door panel. Will that gear roll the window back up. Why would the window power down but not up?

i had the same problem in my explorer and it took $8 in nylon bushings and 15 mins to fix.

Thanks problem was a bad switch.

Now for the real problem.....
I found out that the electric power windows are aftermarket and the OEM switch won't work...lol Now to find out where it came from. Or if I can find out how to hook back up the window winder handle I'll put one of them in.
