Kevin said he's spending the next couple weeks re-roofing his house but he and Ken want to go back to Naches.

I'm done driving over basket balls and baby heads for a while though.

We have a regular camping trip planned for Sept 12 weekend, down by Mt Adams (momma said she would go as long as there was no wheelin so we'll tow with the Aviator)

We also need to break in Paul's 'man cave'.

We could do a day run at Tahuya with BBQ at Paul's in Tacoma (that ought to endear him with his new neighbors:D)

Last weekend in August (Thurs-Sunday) I am planning on camping up at Evans creek.
One of my coworkers and I are going to plan something for the eastside of mountians in September, staying around the Kaner flats/ crow creek campgrounds and running more advanced trails

I could also give you a tour of Elbe in early August

With the roof project I hae going, I don't really have a lot of time to help plan anything and I appologise for that, but I deffinately want to get a few more trips in this summer. I am really liking all thre proposed events (Tahuya/BBQ, Kaner flats in September, and Elby end of August) By then, all the house crap should be done too.

We are ready and willing to go....dunno about Nachese....but now that we know WHERE it is, and how to get there, it's not OUT of the question....LOL

I vote for Tahuya....I may be slightly biased though....LOL

Ryan

If you guys end up going to Tahuya and someone has an extra spot I'd love to ride along! I can offer gas money and a full fab shop for unexpected repairs about 15 minutes from Tahuya:) Heck we can even BBQ at my place!

BBQ AND wheeling....

That's it...I vote Tahuya...

On day trips, I bring the grill with me :D

Mountain top burgers at 'Phil's Grill on the Hill'

Sounds good to me, what's the date? Shoot I might even bring the toyota out...however then that would make me want to start modifying the crap out of it:roll:

I developed a brake problem last weekend up be Salmon la Sac.

I ain't going anywhere until I figure it out and fix it. Don't want to die:thumbdwn:

I am sure between our group we have enough parts to replace your entire brake systaem :D

Rambling thoughts

The vacuum boost is working; Pedal easier to floor when engine is running and there is significant vacuum on the hose. I CAN push the pedal to the floor without the engine running though.

RR is locking up when moving and the pedal mashed to the floor. Rear abs sensor is in the pumpkin and abs doesn’t control rear wheels individually (I probably have an issue with the LR shoes and the RR is doing most if not all the stopping)

No abs because the rear sensor is for both wheels and the MC plunger for the front is probably leaking and the front brakes aren’t working well enough to lock up a wheel.

One thing I did notice this evening. When I floor the pedal, the front of the rig moves to the right (I think it was to the right),could that be caused by one of the shoes in the RR slightly rotating the drum since one end is stationary?

I gotta put the rear on jack stands and remove the drums to see if both sides are working properly. Then look into replacing the MC and NOT getting air into the HCU

Everything I’m reading and all my symptoms are really pointing to the Master Cylinder.

I’m not sure why I was getting intermittent stiff pedal, soft pedal, floor pedal, abs pulsing and abs light coming down the FS road though. Now I ony have floor pedal and no amount of pumping build up back pressure.

Rick and I swap tested the relays and pedal still went to the floor, engine running.

I havent' found any threads where the HCU actually went bad, only that it got air in it and was a PITA to bleed.

when hit the brakes and it pulles to the right it usualy means your front right brake is grabbing harder than your left front.
try bleeding then and see if a air bubble has possibly worked its way into the system.

place some cardbored under it and see if its leaking from anywere otherwise your on the right trac

I pulled the LF tire and the bearing nut backed off (about 1/2"), far enough to cup the splined washer.

I'll be pulling everything apart in a couple hours to find out what else is damaged.

The pedal was going to the floor because the rotor was moving back & forth.

We're lucky the wheel didn't come off on I-90 at 70mph! Thank god for that splined washer!

Time to lose the TTB?

Time to lose the TTB?

No, gotta regear first. I have 4.56's for the d35 already.

No $$ for this hobby, it's going to take months to get 8.8 gears, and then there's the install kits and tools and so on and so on...............................

Lose the TTB? Psshhh SAS is for suckers! It's all about longtravel TTB:D

I've had the wheel bearing adjuster locknut back out and grind into the inside of my manual hub before haha...gotta keep an eye on those nuts :eek:and keep the bearings packed!:smoke:

Sounds like you have your problem just about figured out...so when are we wheeling?

Just throwing a date out there, Saturday 8/29??

Long travle TTB... right...

Anyway, Sorry I have not had time to get on the site for a while. I still want to do another wheelin trip but I have been tryin to get everything ready for our big dunes trip. The explorer is just sitting untill I have more time to work on it, I will be down for something after the holiday weekend.

Albino, did you get everything fixed on your rig?
