After talking to my local dealer, I decided to take his advice and focus on the hubs. Well thay came in today and I was so happy, I figured I had this no 4wheel troubled licked. I installed the hubs, which was quite easy mind you, even for me, and I took my truck out to the nearest dirt I could find. Stopped the truck, got out, flipped the hubs and got back in. I stepped on the gas and prayed to god as I hit the switch. NOTHING!!!!!I'm sooo pissed.

Sorry for the venting but I had to do it. Well, at least I have a nice set of Warn hubs now. All I have to do is change the transfercase motor. Should take me another 6 months to save up for that.

If anyone has a motor thay would like to donate, that would be GREAT. Just kidding. I know how much theses parts mean to some people.

92eddie,

I'm not aware of the history, but if the problem is with the transfer case not engaging then new hubs wouldn't fix it. One thing that has been talked about here is to disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes or so to let the computers reset. Sometimes the controller loses track of where the t-case motor is pointing to and it won't even try to turn it. Reseting it may get it working again. If that doesn't work do a search on this site because there are instructions on how to remove the motor and clean it which has fixed a lot of this type of problem.

Hopefully this will help somewhat.

The answer to your lamentations

Dead Link Removed What a sight for lots of good info. Check out the transfer case section. Be careful with those little brushes. Mark everything carefully so that it all goes back together the same way. This cheap fix will save you hundreds. Put your baby into 4 wheel drive and low range once a week.

I've been all over that site. I've done the cleaning. I've hooked the motor up to 12V. The weird thing about it is. the motor worksbackwards to what that site says it should. The site says if you put POS here and NEG there it should go into 4low and the opposite for 2hi. well mine works exactlly opposite to that. Well I guess I gotta have a mech look at it. With my luck its probably wireing, that'll cost a fortune to fix.
