No 4X4 High?

i have a 1996 explorer i changed the t case from the bw4405 to the bw1356 about 4 months ago with no problems but now "the problems" it will not go into 4x4 hi, but goes into 4x4 lo easily i can hear the t case going into hi, so i really don't think the proublem is with it, some one told me it was the 4x4 switch on the dash was bad so i replaced it "wasted money" i switched to the bw1356 because the 4405 had a bad chain, i got the 1356 and front drive shaft from a 98 ranger with 32k miles, both hi and lo worked great until last weekend, any ideas?

Do you mean 1354? The 1996's have a vac controlled front axle. Maybe something is messing up up there?

yeah it was the 1354, il check that out, the one off the ranger should interchange so if all else fails back to the auto graveyard, thanks

Yeah... the vacuumed axles didn't last long (95/96) so they must not have been the hottest setup. Hopefully that's the problem.
