Since I bought my truck back in Feb 03 it hasn't had 4x4 low. It has a new shift motor and 4x4 high works great. I've changed the switch on the dash and still no low range. Any other things to look at?

Thanks

yes, what most people dont know about shifting into 4 low is that the vehicle must be at a dead stop, foot on the brake, tranny in nuetral and then the button must be pushed for low.....

Tried it still doesn't work. I've had a Ranger and a F-250 both had manual hubs and shifting and trans had to be in neutral and not moving for it to go in to 4x4 low.

Fixed it! I was following the wiring and everything seemed fine. So I pulled the 4x4 motor and everthing was good with that, its like brand new. So then I looked at the switch again and guess what I found.....2 wires popped out of the connector. Kinda funny but now it works! Finally my X has no problems knock on wood!!! LOL :D
