Hi there,
I was driving down the street today and my 91 ford exporer started acting up. At first it wouldn't accelerate, until I gave it some more gas, then it stopped accelerating completely, all in a matter of minutes. It just seemed to sit in neutral, as if the gears wouldn't take. It revs fine. After pushing it off the street, I noticed it had leaked something, and a fair bit of it. Does this mean my transmission is gone?

Was the fluid reddish in color? check your transmission fluid level... I learned a little while back that if you don't have enough fluid in there, it doesn't like to work :p

But my first guess is you blew a seal or something somewhere...

That is definately correct you more than likely have a transmission leak of some kind. The same happened to me at first it took more gas to go and then it didn't go at all.

Turns out there was no trans fluid in it, so there's the leak. I put some in and was able to get it home. Now, to fix the leak... Thanks for your input guys.
