My "lights on" and "key in ignition" chime is not working on my 98 XLT.

My dome light does not come on when the drivers side door is opened.

My eBrake light on dash does not work.

Any suggestions?

these are all likely not related. Check the switch at / near the park brake pedal... test to see if there is a ground on one side and that it "makes it way thru" to the other side when the switch is close when the pedal is depressed.

As far as the dome light, does your door chime (ie. do you get "door adjar" alarm) when the driver side door is opened with key in "run". If not, then it is likely the door switch at the latch (ie. in the door) and / or a break of the wire going thru the door post from the door to the body to the GEM module which ultimately turns on your light. If it does chime, then it might potentially be a GEM fault (doubtful if the other doors work).

Chimes.... check your interior fuses... there is one associated with the GEM module. If you are getting door chimes, then it is likely not a fuse issue but perhaps a connector issue at the GEM..... which could make these somewhat related (ie. a connector at the GEM).

Thanks so much for the info. "I'm goin' in ... cover me!" ;)
