No Electrical Power

I own a 1996 Explorer Eddie Bauer and I am experiencing a loss of electrical power. My battery had discharged, so I removed it and placed it on the charger for 2/3 hours, when I reinstalled it there was no electrical power to anything...none. What could the problem be? The anti-theft system would not totally cut off all power to the truck like that. It sounds like a short somewhere, a blown fuse or a corroded wire. Have you tried jump starting it from another vehicle? Maybe the 2-3 hours on the charger was not enough? If that doesn't work maybe you just ened a battery. if a cell went out it will not hold charge at all. I would start by doing a jump start, then if that fails buy a battery
