no engine number

hi i have a 4ltr sohc engine with no engine numbers on it .do ford engine that were replaced under warranty have a number from the factory or should it be stamped on when it was fitted to match the vehicle

if the engine was replaced under warranty first year of vehicle under 12k miles it will be on the valve covers.

if it was replaced any time after that it will have a tag silicone somewhere on it. and they do tend to fall off.
