Hi everybody!
I am new at this forum.
So I say "Hi" to everyone.
Now to a question I have about my Explorer 4.0L 1996 4x4 automatic.
Yesterday night I was driving home.
It was very thick fog outside so I decided to use my tail-foglight.
This car I owned for now 5y and never used it before.
It started well, I could see the backlight was "shining" extra.
But suddenly my headlight stopped working and also my "full light".
It was only the small light beside head light that was working.
In Sweden it is called "position" light, I do not know the word in english.
But the "full light" was working when I pressed the multiswitch.
And the light on dashboard was showing full light.
But no normal headlight, nothing happens at all.
I turned the lightknob but only small side light was lighted in headlight mode.
I have checked the fuses, both in car and under the hood.
There is no place where I have found info on this problem.
I hope there is someone who knows about this problem.
Could it be the "multi-switch"?
I have read about it giving people some problems with light.
But both head-light and full-light are gone in normal "mode".
What I understand I do not have the "lom" box.
This one could give many problems, but this is not in my car, or?
What I can understand there is some "relay" in the multiswitch, for the light.
I am looking forward to any help in anyway from anyone.
