It is likely that the heat mix controller on that side is dead. Small electronic motor that moves the flapper between hot and cool air. It is likely a big pain in the neck to get access to.

I have the same failure on a 2012 Lincoln MKX except on the driver side. I live in Florida and we use the heat so infrequently, that I kept forgetting it was inoperative. The dash was apart to put a new evaporator in there and it should have been an easy fix then, had I remembered. My solution is to close the driver side vents and use the seat heater. There is enough heat coming out of the passenger side and rear vents that the interior warms
up.

If it is much colder where you live, you may want to bite the bullet to pay to get it fixed. This is a job for someone young and agile, maybe with small hands.

Listen really closely when you try to switch to heat, you may hear a clicking sound down in there somewhere. These actuated blend doors are cheap crap and are a common failure point in quite a few vehicles.

I would be surprised if the Blend Door actuator isn't bad. I know i have to replace mine. The 2 that fail the most are in the glove box. One is right in front and the other is in back of it on the left side

Welcome to the Forum.
My guess also would be the blend door actuator isn't working.
There are already threads on the issue with blend doors that you can find using the handy 'Search' feature.
