95 Edie Baurer
I have a 95 explorer edie baurer. I am getting heat to the heat box but none in the cab. It has climate control. I have replacet the top radiator hose and the thermostat. I have also replaced the egr vacum sensor. A mechanic tells me he thinks it is a vacum problem and the door is not opening. I sure would apreciate any help or suggestions from anyone. This is my wifes car and she. We have a son with disabilites we take with us and need the heat.

Thanks

The air that blows in is cold or no air blowing in at all? If there's no air blowing in at all it might be the infamous blend door problem. There's info. on here on how to fix it. Search for "blend door".

The air that blows in is cold no matter whether I put it on floor. def or vent. I even had the temp sit at 90 and it still blows cold. I flushed the whole system and replaced the coolant.

Check the heater control valve out in the engine bay.Make sure it has vacum. You also can check it using a vacum gauge to see if it will hold vacum.
Its on the passenger side that has 4 5/8 hoses going to it,and a small plastic vacum line.

so what was wrong with your explorer because i am going to take mine to the dealer very soon.

Check the cheap stuff first... The same thing happened to me. My thermostat was stuck open, so the engine was flooded with coolant-it couldn't warm up. It cost $4 and about 20 minutes...
