no high Idol on start

Anybody got any ideas. 4.6 03 no high idle on start. Goes right into low idol around 800rpms and really wants to stall.

800 RPMS seem just fine. Perhaps look at your IAC (cleaning it is dead-easy) or fuel pressure?

Yeah. 8oorpms is good. But this on cold start and should idle atlease 1200-1300 at first.

Well, I guess that depends on how cold it is. Have you tried cleaning the IAC? That part controls your idle so might be root to your problem. I have cleaned mine with some brake cleaner. There are some threads around here on cleaining it.
