Well i finaly installed my 3" body lift last weekend. What a pain. Body bolt over the gas tank was seized!!, the whole thing just turned, almost had to drop the gas tank but I was able to fit a wrench up and over the tank and in there somehow.
16 hours later me and my bro had the X back on the road.
Started the truck, turned the wheel and it felt like moving a ton of bricks! Drove down the road a bit, same thing, there is no power steering. You can here it whine like it normaly does but i get no action.
I better mention this...During the body lift process I removed the bolt from the steering coupler. Jacked the drivers side of the car up and noticed the coupler was still attached. I set the body back down, heard some bad noises while lowering the jack =(. beat the steering coupler with a hammer to remove it. Wonder if I tore up the inards of the power steering system stretching it like that with the jack while the steering coupler and shaft were seized together?
