So a few weeks ago the a/c stopped working in my wifes 2011 Limited. After checking the charge and noticing the clutch material was melted off. I ordered a replacement clutch/coil assembly. After installation and with the compressor cycling it was perfect on the pressures.

Fast forward to a week later the a/c abruptly stopped again. Thinking the replacement had failed I gave 12v to the coil and it sucked it fine. Checked the coil wire and it was getting 0.12v. Checked the fuse (#70) and swapped the relay (#98) and still nothing. So I started looking for the low pressure switch and apparently a different design because its on the high pressure line. Everyone has to order it. So since I get to wait until the dealer is open. Anyone have any thoughts?

is there power at both sides of fuse #70 and #62 when running and a/c on, both are 10amps.
#62 is the main power to clutch thru secondary side of relay, #70 is controlled by computer, primary side of relay

#62 was blown replaced it and on the way to the store for more spares it blew again. Now there a noise coming from the bottom of the motor. Guessing the compressor is on its way out.

sounds like compressor is seizing and burning the clutch?

I have a feeling the coil on the magnet for the clutch has loosened. Its held via a snap ring. The compressor is a massive pain in the ass to remove. Extremely tempted to replace the entire damn system snd be done with it.
