Has anyone been able to replace the A/C clutch without replacing the entire compressor like Ford wants you to do? I can't seem to find just a clutch without the whole compressor for $400...

Thank you! That is a pricey sucker since most are around $40, but it's still cheaper than replacing the entire compressor.

Motorcraft YB3182 is as low as $140 on Amazon, $157 at Rockauto.

I hate ask, but have you tried searching for them?

I got a few hits on eBay and elsewhere for <$100 for the clutch assembly.

Do you know what compressor you have?

Yep, searched and searched and all other models are $40ish. I ended up buying the whole clutch assembly from Rockauto for around $170. Complete clutch and pulley. There was a slight difference in the actual clutch diameter and it looked like an updated design. Took about an hour to swap out due to the snap rings being difficult to get to but once swapped, it worked perfectly. Definitely cheaper than a whole compressor, and I didn't have to drain and refill the system.
