Solved No power windows. Fuse number 26.

New to posting, but have used the forum to attempt solving my problem.

Just bought a 2000 Ford explorer. None of the power windows work.

I checked in the door jamb and there do not appear to be any broken wires.

There’s power getting to the switches and all the fuses are intact. The ground wire in the switch is comnected.

all other accessories work including power locks, power mirrors, and windshield wipers.

I was considering BCM as a potential issue... but welcome any other recommendations

Welcome to this forum! Check the door jamb wiring for damage, and the bulkhead connectors for bent or loose pins.

Ty, I did check the door jamb and dont see any breaks.

Nit sure what you mean by bulkhead connector.

There's a square plug in connector in the kick panels which connects the door jam wiring. The wiring could have broken inside the insulation so you need a test light or a multimeter to check it.

Thanks ill look tomorrow morning at the bulkhead.

I used a multimeter on the main switch and ground. Im pretty sure there are no broken wires between the door and the bulkhead.

Problem solved. Fuse 26 control interior lights, also controls power windows. BOOM!
