no power windows, interior lights, moon roof won't work

While driving to work my dash lights went
out, and no power windows. After checking to see what else was not working, i found: moon roof
visor lights
map ligths
parking lights
rear wiper
under hood light
4x4hi and 4x4low dash lights blinking either 4 times or 6 times several minutes
between each set of blinks.
I checked all fuses and relays, all good
looking in manuals at the library I thought
maybe the GEM module was bad. no change in situation. Anybody have an
idea where to look next?

Brian sounds like the GEM is bad to me.. If you know where Crazy Ray's junk yard is in Jessup, MD, you can pick one up for about $30 or so.. Last time I was there, a few days ago there was a 96 XLT.. Not sure if the GEM will work but it could be worth looking into..

I tried changing the GEM and the problem
did not change.

check your fuses

I finally found the problem in the power dist box fuse 5 & 7 were not making good contact in the fuse block. Both of these fuses are needed to power all that was out. Thanks for all your help.
