Fuse 17 under the dash is likely blown if he drew an arc. This powers the courtesy lighting, glovebox and the mirrorr puddle lamps.

That fuse 17 also powers the Accessory Delay Relay (allows you to roll up windows after you turn the key off but before you open a door) which is preventing them from working. Replace that 15 amp fuse and gramps will be good to go again.

Welcome aboard encorebilly!! :salute:

According to my '02 wiring diagrams, check the following fuses.

In the Battery Junction Box under the hood:

Fuse #16 is a 20 Amp related to the Instrument Panel Illumination, as well as Dash Lights.
Fuse #15 is a 5 Amp related to the Instrument Panel Gauges & Indicator Lights.
Fuse #6 is a 60 Amp related to the Power Windows.

In the Central Junction Box under driver side dash:

Fuse #21 is a 5 Amp related to the Instrument Panel Gauges & Indicator Lights.
Fuse #17 is a 15 Amp related to the Power Windows.

I have repeated some info given by FordFool2.

It can't hurt to check all fuses under the hood and under the dash. If you find blown fuses, you will also have to find the reason the fuses blew. I know, captain obvious!

I hope this helps out! :biggthump
