I have a 93 XLT 4.0 that just lost it's power. 60 mph is all that it will run and that is with your foot all the way to the floor. After checking several things and replacing a few parts, like the TPS sensor. I am still at a lost.

One intresting thing I found, the right side of the motor does not seem to be producing. Wlhat I mean by that is I can unplug all 3 spark plug wires off the coil pack from the left side and the motor will stay running and and run the same as when they were on. It will even start up with these three wires off. Take just one wire off the right side and the motor starts spitting and spuddering. Plugs, wires, coil pack are all good. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
William

Ok 160 HP/2 = 80 HP........Yeah I could see how you could lose some power. First thing I would do is change plugs and wires. Attack the easiest things first.

While you have the wires off, pull the plugs and do a compression test. This will tell you a lot about the condition of the motor.
