I had a coast clutch failure, looked like someone sliced all the piston springs
into ringlets.overhauled the transmission with new torque converter, pump,
all bands,clutches,overdrive piston kit,overdrive drum,and shift kit.flushed
coolerlines and installed new ota cooler.
I now have no reverse,but have manual low,manual 2nd,and Drive.I have
overdrive posistion, but have to rev to get moving.Im about to check
the line pressure.could I have missed the reverse band and cause the no reverse. To me it seems like I have a sticking vb,but am open to other
suggestions.

I'm with brooklyn bay. Your reverse engagement control spool is likely trapping something that is causing it to seize.

I was afraid of that.I had to go through it because there wasn't a reman
available.I think I better pull it back down.Does anyone have a breakdown
picture of the valve body that is complete.I what to make sure I did not
miss something. It has been a couple of years since I rebuilt one of these.

thanks for your help
