no reverse

just rebuilt 5r55e transmission,installed it. then BACKED it off the ramps,went forward and reverse a few times,took it for a spin about 5 miles and it shifted smooth,then i pulled in the driveway and no reverse.it seemed if i fooled around for 5 mins or so i could find reverse, and now i can't find.any help would be appreciated. thank you

I'd start by making sure the Transmission range sensor was correctly installed and aligned.

whan i put it in 4x4 low i can relly feel reverse kick in,but when i apply pressure to accelerater it does'nt move, if i play around park to reverse a couple times it moves but not always. it almost seems like something is not pulling in right away or sticking. low/reverse servo?also i hear like a whistling coming down from around tranny,like an air leak thru a small hole sound when it does'nt move ,but when the sound goes away thats when it seems to go in reverse. thanks all
