I have this Alpine IVA-W200 installed with the PAC TR-7 bypass and everything works great, except that there is no sound from the subwoofer. I used the Metra 70-5521 harness, which includes the small subwoofer harness. I connected "one" of the 2 blue/white Amplifier Turn-on wires from the small harness to the blue/white Remote Turn-on wire on the W200. The other blue/white wire is taped up for maybe later use. I pluged the white "subwoofer" RCA plug from the harness into the white subwoofer RCA socket on the W200, and i get nothing! Am I missing something here? I was expecting that loud "thump" everyone else is getting but I get nothing! The Metra harness also has a red "woofer" RCA jack, should that be pluged in? Should I have joined the 2 blue/white Amplifier Turn-on wires from the harness together? Any ideas?

Thanks.

I couldn't get mine to work with the harness, so I had my connector cut off and RCA's spliced onto the right wires. I hear the thump everyone talks about too. I'm sure there is a way to get it to work with the harness, but this way was faster for me, plus I don't plan on getting rid of the mounty anytime soon so I don't have to worry about that, plus the touch screen will prolly go with it

Paul, check out the thread called "Audiophile stero". I think some folks fixed the "thump" by adding a 1.5 Ohm resistor to the remote turn-on wire.

i generally use a 4.7kohm resistor to rid the turn on "thump"

Solved!

I heard from Crutchfield about the subwoofer harness and they said you have to connect both turn-on wires from the harness together. Well, today I finally got some time to pull out the HU and their solution works!!!. No time to get rid of the thump though, that will have to wait till next time.
