My 2015 Sport was sitting for about a month. I went to get in and it was so dead I couldn't even unlock the doors. Needed to use the physical key...no life at all. Attempted to charge, boost etc. no luck. Bought new battery. No luck.
Starter engages and I have heard what sounds like it turning over very slowly, a few times, but rare, usually just the starter trying, but won't turn over. Even trying to boost with new battery just incase it's draining it.
Starter gets hot if I try a few times.
Research seems to say likely new starter needed. Any ideas? I've already cleaned and reset battery cables, grounding straps and cables to starter solenoid. All points testing full voltage including main engine block.
Worked great, driven daily for 4 years, 160000KM up until 2 months ago when I got a Jeep. Is it just pissed off at me? ;-)
