2002 Explorer XLT
Hi Everybody,

I'm new in this forum, recently i have bought a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 2WD, and I'm very happy with this, 2 weeks ago I return from a Trip and when I was stopping in a light i heard a noise like a double click on the rear wheel driver side, I accelerate again and I heard only a click again and dissapears, when I arrive to next light I heard again the clicks, I went to the specialist and he did't find anything wrong, Has anybody the same problem? I went with another people and they toll me that is the rear wheel bearing, but in speed I didn't hear grinding, in fact is very quiet drive it on the highway.

I hope you can help me.

Lift the rear tires off the ground and turn them by hand or in drive with the vehicle CAREFULLY supported.
My bet is either loose parking brake shoes floating inside the drum, or a loose caliper adapter plate rattle.

I will do that...Thanks...

I had that. It was the parking brake lining had come loose from the shoes.
