noise when stopping

93 explorer some times when you stop a noise comes from the engen compartment and the break pedle vibrates an depressed no abs of check lights what could it be

thats the ABS pump, The light is not supposed to come on when its working, only when there is a problem with it. your either your slipping a wheel or one of your wheel sensors is going bad. If it always pumps around the same area, then there may be some sand on the road causing this. If its all the time, then i would suspect a bad wheel sensor. There are posts here as to how to test them.
