2002 Explorer XLT 4.0 4x4
Parked my Explorer last November and it's only run a hand full of times since. Now it won't start.

1.) The battery went dead so I placed it on a trickle charger overnight and it charged no problem. 1 year old battery.

2.) I have checked the fuse box and nothing is obviously bad, nothing looks/smells burnt like I am used to seeing when these die.

3.) All the electrics SEEM to be functioning, interior lights, ignition, door locks, windows, etc.

4.) When I try to crank it I get a LOUD clicking like it's not getting enough juice but I know the battery is good.

5.) I disconnected the battery, attached my jumper cables to my 4.6 Crown Vic and attached the other end to the Explorer battery cables. Same result, will not crank but loud clicking.

Ideas?

No codes.

If the battery is good, the next area I would look at would be the starter solenoid. It may have gone bad and will not allow the starter to engage. You can use a hammer to tap the solenoid and if it is bad it would start.
