Hey everyone, this may be a stupid question but I'm a bit stumped...I'm trying to switch out my stock HU (2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer w/ CD changer) and put in my Kenwood Excelon. I'm kinda stumped on the wiring harness situation. What do I need to get to make the stock plugs match up with the Kenwood?

Thanks in advance!!

Go to a local shop and ask them for the correct adapter for your application.

I just called Circuit City and he was a ****y SOB. Talked down to me b/c he knows more on the subject and he wasn't helpful at all.

As far as harnesses go, are most just plug ins or is there often cutting and re-wiring that needs to be done to make them fit the aftermarket HU?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, this is my first time swapping HUs.

Circuit City isnt a local shop. Try a car audio shop. They will sell you a plug that plugs into your factory harness and has wires on the other side that are color coded to match the Kenwood. eg, red, yellow, black, green, purple, gray, white.
