2003 Ford Explorer XLT
Hey whats up everyone...

My name is Joe. I'm from Sayreville NJ. Sold my 2000 Mustang GT and bought a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT (V6). Car Sear did't fit in the Mustang with our new baby girl. So wanted to stick to a ford and liked the Explorers.

The truck is Blue and FULLY LOADED with everything. Going from a Mustang to a Explorer is a HUGE difference...Im used to hit second gear and the car throws me back in my seat. I used to race the stang as much as i can. At the track or on the street. So now im getting used to driving this AOD with lower gear ratio compared to a posi rear with 3.73's. But overall the truck was great during the winter. When it snowed I used to call out of work bc I couldn;t get to work...This season I jumped into the truck popped the bad boy in drive and drove out of the bank of snow with NO problem....This truck has def grown on me.....ANy tips on cheap mods for looks and perf. or free mods to do????
Any club meet ups? I am learning a whole new animal here...

Thnks everyone.

Welcome to the party hope you enjoy it here, there is a weather of knowledge and yes there are groups that meet up and have crusies, off road adventures, or just plain get togethers.

I myself have a pretty healthy Mustang back ground as so do some of the others here on the board, you are not alone.

Hey Joe, Welcome to the madness :D

Hey-
As for you cheap mods, www.explorerexpress.com has some parts that may interest you (intake, headers, exhaust). The MAC intake and exhaust will give you some noticable power gains. If you get the urge to take this up a step there are many threads posted as well as helpful people.

Welcome to the board. A lot of us go up to Englishtown for the swap meets and show our trucks. If you've ever been to the swap meets you've probably seen us there. Keep an eye out in the group runs forum there's usually something going on every other month or so.

welcome to the forum joe

Hey Doug,

Do you guys ever do the Cops and Rodders show at Devry? I do it every year with the Mustang, but this yr it will only be my wifes Mustang..... I do remember seeing alot of jeeps lifted going to the show, but dont remember seeing Explorers.
