I'm getting the mobile site as well. Haven't tried to mess with any settings yet.

The mobile site is nice when browsing from the Edge network. But I can see where it would be an overkill when browsing with Wi-Fi.

I agree the edge can be anoyingly slow. And the text only speeds it up some.

Nokia e90. I can get one from a friend who will be changing to a nokia e71 once they are released in the states. I can get his for about 1/2 price.

Hmm.. I got an iPhone 3G too, and I see the full site on my phone browser...

so from my end, is there anything I can do to get the mobile version?

Easier said than done, but some sites have one url for regular version and another for mobile... depending on what you visit you get the version you want...

For example... (try the m version now from your computer)

http://m.ebay.com/ as opposed to http://www.ebay.com/

I agree that mobile sites suck! They always make things harder. One of the worst ones is Hotmail. I HATE IT! I'm using an ipod on wifi but its still the same deal as the iphone I just need wifi to log on. I only get on this site with my computer though so it doesn't affect me either way.
