I have a 91 Explorer XL 5 speed. 2 years ago (a month after buying it!) the transmission went out.
Then about 6 months ago or so, we noticed that sometimes we had a hard time getting the gear shift into 1st gear, like it would never really "click" into place.
Now we want to sell it and we can't get it into any gear. Reverse makes a grinding noise. My husband thought it was because he needed to bleed the clutch. He tried to bleed it, but he never was able to get any fluid out of it.
So we are stumped. He doesn't think its the clutch (we know the new clutch was put in w/ the new tran)
Anyone got any ideas?
