So my 1992 explorer has been sitting for about 4 years. I have recently began to work on it, and now after 5 months, it is in perfect running order. BUT when i press the brakes, it takes about 10-20 feet to stop completely. Why would it be doing this. It shouldn't be the brake pads, they were replaced a couple months before it got wrecked. Also, i bled the brakes, and the rear brakes had no fluid in them at all, i couldnt get any to come out :( The Rear Antilock light is on if this has anything to do with it. Please I need help

how would I do that? and do you think that is why I have bad stopping power?

did you read the link?

If you aren't able to get any fluid to the rear brakes likely they aren't going to add any stopping power... don't take this wrong dude, I mean no disrespect when I say that you need to get a Chilton's or something. They have a great deal of info and you can learn what you need.

Good luck!
