I have 2 seperate issues. I know that the rear differential needs to be replaced. When I let off the gas at speeds in excess of 30 mph I get a noticeable hum from the rear. Also for some odd reason when I accelerate rapidly while turning to the right I sometimes get a thump, thump, thump from the rear until I let off the gas. Question 1 - how long before I need to replace the rear differential?
Second issue has newly started. I get a high pitched hum from the front left. When I turn the steering wheel to the right it goes away but when the steering wheel is straight or turned left it sounds very loud and vibrates the floor. Also, the sound starts at about 20 mph and intensifies as the truck speeds up. Even when I let off the gas the sound still comes from the front left. Any ideas what this is?
