I am looking to replace my 1994 Explorer XLT(150K miles and rusty). Last night I went and looked at a 1994 Explorer Eddie Bauer. Nice shape, 126k miles, very little rust, for $3000/B.O. Should I look for a new one or stick with the 1st generation? I have up to $4500 to spend on one. Right now I am going to see about a 1995 XLT with 83k miles for $3500. Your opinions are needed!!!!

Thanks

Personally I'd say go for newer. Between those 2 I'd spend the extra $500 (Show up with $3200 Cash, he won't say no.) and get the 95'.

I wouldn't replace a '94 with 150,000 another '94 that has 126,000 on it. I would get the '95 out of those options. Personally I would go with a '98 or newer. A '95 is still a 10 or 11 year old vehicle.
