10 - Speed control, amplifier & Radio 15A

You have a short in the wiring protected by this fuse. Do NOT :nono: use a 20A fuse in this location. The Fuse is designed to protect the wiring harness and using a 20A fuse can/will overheat the wiring and cause a fire. Fuse ratings are based on the size of the wire and nothing else. Anyway does your cruise control and radio Work? Do you have a Stock radio? If you have an aftermarket radio/HU I would bet a loose wire is making contact with some metal and grounding out. It is also common for wires to have their insulation rubbed off (shorting out) do to poor installation.

I especially like it when someone puts a 20 amp fuse where the 15 amp is supposed to be. That way I'll eventually get to pass them on the highway...the one pulled over and on fire!

Hey John D, I saw your signature and it made me think of a good one for me...It it's broken, fix it. If it's not, give me awhile and it will be.

Finding a quote to fit can be hard. So if the quote fits use it... I often times would hesitate fixing something when I was younger because I didn't exactly know how to go about fixing it. My dad would say the thing is broken anyway so go ahead and give it try.. the worst you could do is not fix it ...

Well the 20 was there to get me home without speeding, but shortly went out. And yes i do have an aftermarket head, but it is not powered on that line. Cruise control ****ted out, but my radio works. My accesory wire wasnt getting power so i spliced into another accesory line. Also Re-wired the speakers. Been like that for 2 months without any problems. then coming home one night i hit a few bumps on the road and ZAP! Gauges go out. Ill go ahead and check the HU again and the wires.
