hello there im new to posting but have been lurking around for years when i get stuck in fixin my Explorer, love this forum and all of the info in it.
So, a while ago i noticed my O.D light blinking, i have a 95 explorer 2WD, when im going about 35mph and i start slowing down to about 18mph i hear this thump coming from right under me. i fear its the transmission but i have read about greasing the front splines? could it be something else? even if i dont touch the break and i just let it coast until about 18mph it does it. i been meaning to take it to a shop to get the codes since the O.D light is blinkin. i read it could also be in fault mode? i recently changed the manifold gasket could the light blinking maybe had been telling me about that? the same day i saw the OD light i flushed the transmission fluid and changed the filter. i dont know what to do anymore :/ i had this transmission rebuilt a few years ago and i cannot afford to have it done again i really love my Explorer but i can't keep putting money into it.. any help would be appreciated!
