O/D light flashing.. then stopped

Hey guys. Today while heading across town, then O/D OFF light started flashing for about 15 miles.. Even when i turned the truck off, when i turned it back on it started immediately. I didnt notice any rough gear changes or slips, however when i pressed the O/D button on the column shift, while accelerating, the truck jerked. After about 15 miles the O/D light stopped flashing, and hasn't returned since. Thoughts?

Ive been pretty lucky so far. I've had the truck for about 10K miles, and the only things I've done is routine oil changes, and a whole new front end. The truck has CEL P0442 (IIRC) which is small Evap leak, which thanks to the diagnosis of you guys is the source of a rough idle. However this O/D light flash is kinda concerning. I need this Mounty for a daily driver. Is my truck a time bomb ?

OD light is simply the check engine of the trans computer. I have no idea if its stored or not. I would go try and get it scanned and go from there
