O/D light is flashing.

Bought a 1998 Explorer with a 4.0 for my son about 4 months ago. It has a few minor problems, like the oil guage bouncing around. Otherwise in pretty good shape for a Minnesota vehicle. Need to find an owners manual. Also I had the transmission flushed 2 weeks ago and now my O/D light is blinking. It seems to run just fine. Any help?
