O2 sensor for 4.6, will this work?

I need a O2 sensor for my 2002 4.6. My friend has a O2 sensor that was for his 1996 E-150 van that had a 4.6 in it. Will the O2 sensor ment for the van work on my explorer? The sensor is new (crashed the van before installing it). Thanks for any help or ideas.

It should be fine. Ford uses 4 wires system, just making sure the wires are long enough..

Why not buy a brand new one? About $65 at local auto part store..

I can get it new for 47.99 @ auto zone but I live in Michigan where right now 47.99 is worth shooting someone over! So if I can save the loot I will! It is no joke things are really bad in Michigan right now. People are on the brink of loosing everything. Hope the bubble dosent burst in Cali and Arizona like they say it will. Thanks for the help! Ill give it a try.
