okay, i'm about to replace my o2 sensor(s?) and fuel pressure regulator on my 95 ohv due to a relatively serious drop in mileage. i went to autozone, and was told that there are several different ones. they carry only bosch, is this a good brand? there are three versions:

p/n 15717, original equipment, has 13" wiring harness. 49.99

p/n 15805, optional, has 16.5" wiring harness, bundle and tie. 58.99

p/n 15718, can also be used. 59.99

can anyone tell me which one i should use, and if i need one or two?

also, i am looking at replacing the fuel pressure regulator at the same time. this part is:

p/n gp-sorensen 800-173. $63.99. is this a good unit? if not, what is a good one?

sorry for the extended post, but i intend to replace these parts this weekend, and your input will be greatly appreciated.

Doug, if your 95 is like my 98, you will need 4 sensors. You have 2 pipes under there, one from each header. You will need 1 sensor before the cats, and 1 after, on each pipe. The one with the 13" harness should work for at least one of them, and you will probably be better off with the 16.5" harness' for the other 3.

i hope that's not the case (four) that would cost a bundle. i only have a six cylinder, and i just put the borla cat-back on last week, so i know for a fact that there are none after the cat. thanks for the input, though. i will have to get under the truck tomorrow night and check it out.

Sorry, kinda speed read over the engine you had.

I just got them for mine which is the six cylinder also. The $59 one and the $49 one. One before the cat and one after. I also got the fuel pressure regulator, throttle positioning sensor, and pvc valve. Mine were bosch which is a very good brand.

I replaced the o2's on my '95 last year. There are 2 of them. One on each exhaust. You'll see them when you crawl under the vehicle. The passenger side one is a bit of a squeeze. I don't remember the part numbers but I did get the OEM replacement by Bosch. The original ones had a Motorcraft part number stamped on them but they also had Bosch stamped too.

Doug,

I also think you need 2. BTW, if you were planning on doing this on Sunday, call me up and I'll help. I'm busy from 11am to about 130, but am free after (or before) that. Sorry I never sent you an email, I've been really busy. Have a good weekend.

I have three on my 97 OHV. Two before the cat's one after the cat's.

hey, jack...i thought you were a cop and that you would know the dangers of speeding! lol keith, alec, ag, and jgriffin, i thank you for your advice. i did finally find a second one this evening. i'll get the parts tomorrow, and if i feel motivated i will work on it. otherwise, alec i will drop you a line. thanks for the help offering.

Abolutely! speeding can cause accidents...there's living proof. LOL

Put mine on this weekend and there is three of them like Keith said. Two before and one after.
