Hey all-
For those of you who currently own, or have owned in the past a OBD-2.com scanner setup, I have a couple of questions for you.
First of all, how do you like the unit? I have looked through the software and it looks very basic on the whole, but easy enough to deal with. I notice in most of the screenshots a lot of part ids referenced (IE: $06 or something equivelant which is supposed to relate to a relay or control input). Is this how the final product looks, or do they actually have it setup so that you can lookup "O2 Sensor Data" and pull it up?
Also, how much was the unit? The guy who runs the site is out until August 2nd, and I am trying to decide between 2 or 3 different software packages. Basically, I'm in the process of designing/building a carputer for the X to replace the Stock Stereo system and CD Changer. I want the ability to monitor and record the Explorer's health while making a run and later be able to transfer it to my home computer for analyzation.
If you have any experience with any other OBD 2 PC based scantools, give your opinion here. From what I can tell, most of the Adapters appear to be about the same, so it sounds like the real difference is the software package. Screenshots would be great too. Thanks.
