OBD I paper clip issues help please

So i tried the step by step that was posted here and here is what i got igntion on motor off the check engine light goes off now if i start the motor the check engine light comes on and just flashes not in any sequence just a steady flash if i could find out why its on it would save me alot off money
 






Are you certain you removed the jumper wire from STI to SIG RET? Have you checked for a short to ground in STI? Are you able to retrieve any codes from it?

yea everything is hooked up right i really dont know what its doing i cant get a single code from it SMH
 






What you describe is quite rare. I might try tracing the self-test wires back to the PCM (a good wiring diagram should help) and make sure the wiring is all good.

I don't know why it would make a difference, but you might try unplugging the battery cables for an hour to allow the PCM to reset.
