Strange electrical issues help please

We are in MT now.
It is a limited, 4.0, 4wd, AT. Thanks for the fuse info - they are not identified in my manual or haynes...........
I can't reach the antitheft mod until I get a button tool today. Jane doesn't want me to scratch up the plastic panel:) I will do as you say this afternoon.

Does anyone know of a "disable alarm" brown wire from the computer module? That was supposedly mentioned to someone by a 30yr master Frod mechanic...? Said all you have to do is ground it and it disables the system. I will be pulling harnesses on the rear modules today. I pulled the 3 harnesses on the RKE mod yesterday. The big one killed the power to the unlock button, the others seemd to have no effect. Is there an internal board that can crash due to constant banging around?

Well I just tried disconnecting the two white plugs on the alarm module. Pulling the rear 8 wire connector = no start condition. Reconnected it. Pulling the front white connector(11 wire) car starts and door "lock" function works but not "unlock". Unlock still flashes the headlights.

Pulling the RKE connectors did nothing different.

When I hit the unlock/"flash" button I can feel a black relay and a larger module behind the A/C controls clicking with it each time.

I also pulled the #6 fuse and started the car = no difference.

strange FOB under drivers seat

I didn't mention that I have memory function in this driver's seat.

There is a strange one button fob under the seat: 1 button with 1 red light that lights when you push it. What is this FOB?

Hailee microPLUS on the label, DSK on the front.

Still hoping to indentify whether the RKE or antitheft modules are bad.....

Help

After a quick Google search I believe that the remote you found under the seat was originally for someone's gate or garage door opener. Still not sure about the rest of your issues, but you don't need to worry about that fob anymore! :)

Thanks for that info! Sounds like someone's ex had a secret fob mounted under their drivers seat.........:)

Anyway: Back to my problem of multiple devices acting up - it appears that all of them somehow are communication with the RKE module - the one that was found broken off of it's two mounting screws and rattling around the rear fender well for ...maybe years. Are there any internal boards that could break or short out in a RKE module? Effecting the headlights, door locks, dome light, radio, driver's electric seat (memory seat), foglights - YET, the car starts and drives fine - all other accs are ok and the alarm has not sounded or armed during this process. In fact perhaps the alarm module will not arm because it gets a feed from the RKE too? I see that it does on the wiring diagram.
Also: this RKE module is no longer available - what is the best replacement RKE to use and can I program our existing fobs to work with the newer RKE?

Strange electrical Gremlins - FIXED!!!!:)

Greetings:

Found a technician today who traced after my work on the 93 with his power probe. It was the RKE module in the rear q panel. He removed it, flashed it with power and it reset- but does not recognize my fobs or enter programming mode by the usual KOKO methods. If it would, I could reinitialize the fobs. That's fine by me. We re-installed it and all systems are go except remote keyless entry. Even the alarm works. We just have to use the key for entry and alarm disarm. These units are discontinued by ford. There are two left in Ford's parts system in KS: $290.00 ea.:( Looks like the junkyard route for anyone with similar problem from now on. Man, am I glad that week is over!
