obdi code reader

so i have used the obdii code readers before but never a obdi. I read a thread on here about how to do it with a paper clip and reading engine light flashes etc. well I decided to cough up 30 bucks and just get a obdi code reader, where do I plug this thing in?

If I understand how they work, it should plug into the self-test connector under the hood. Sometimes, when it has been years since it was last accessed, this connector gets pushed down into the space between the air filter housing and the heater fan housing, but that's where it should be.

thanks i ended up finding it, theres 2, a little plug, and a pigtail, behind the fuse box towards the firewall
