My truck constantly (for months) shows the warning "fuel cap" light. I scanned code P1506 with the OBDII and it says: "Manf Cntrl Veh. Spd. Idle Speed Control Auxiliary Inputs." My truck idles fine, very evenly, and I don't think I have any vacuume leaks. The only real problem is the darn orange light on my dash!
From what I found by searching the forum, most people seem to clean or replace their IAC valve, but it seems most people still retain the same problem code. Has anyone found a sure-fire solution to this problem code, or what sets off my "fuel cap" light? When I clear the code, the light goes away.:navajo:
