OD off button intermittely doesnt work

My OD off button on my shift knob on my 08 XLT sometimes does not work. Anyone else have this happen?

Mine doesnt work at all. No power getting to it. Still havnt pinpointed the issue. Had the console apart to check wiring but didnt see anything that stood out. Yours could be a loose connection clip or faulty switch.

is it hard to open up? I still haven't found a repair manual for this year explorer
