I have a 95 4x4 XLT 4 door explorer with an odd vent fan problem....the AC/Heat fan will work only on the highest setting, notch 4 but on none of the others! The ac air is cold and it works on both MAX and AC but only at the highest setting. I think it may be a fuse, but dont no where to start checking (the fuse panel is inside the drivers door i believe) but there are a million of them to look at....

Thanks

Blower Motor Resistor, or the wiring harness going to it. Passenger side firewall, on the blower housing. There are pictures of mine in the gallery linked in my signature. (my connector melted down. Be sure to inspect yours)

which gallery is it under in your pictures, i didnt see it or am blind

Sorry... been meaning to separate those pics out for months!

'Explorer Pics' gallery, page 2... it doesn't really show the location well, just what the parts look like. You'll need to remove the cruise control servo and if you have large hands, the windshield washer/coolant reservoir as well. I did mine twice: Once without removing the reservoirs, once by removing it. Removing it made it MUCH easier.
