So this may sound weird, but I am hoping someone may be able to help me. My truck has a rattle noise that it creates behind the dash it sounds like. It only occurs if I am at a stop light or stop sign. The rattle goes away when I am moving AND it doesn't occur if I'm in park at idle. it's the weirdest thing! Sounds like a broken AC fan or something, but I can't tell. Sounds like its around the middle dash to drive side somewhere. Any ideas?

I have what i think is the same or very similar noise. I almost imagine that someone dropped a penny or somthing very small on the dash and slid down in somewhere. When sitting at a light in drive, its a constant buzzy rattle sound, its really starting to get annoying!

Bump.

Anyone else have a buzzy dash rattle and find out what it was?

Good call. I really wish I knew. It's not a change or coin sounding (I have no kids) but sounds more like a plastic fan spinning on a broken spindle... if that makes sense? It's weird because I only hear it while at a stop in drive. Once I shift into P or N, it goes away. It drives me insane though.

Mine is definately "vibration" related. At idle while in gear, it makes the buzzing sound, and also when accelerating between 2200 and 2800 rpm it comes back as well. Im starting to think its just some part of the dash that needs a little felt buffer between somewhere that is rubbing or "vibrating" against each other. I dont' know, for now i just turn up the radio, but it still bothers me because i know its still there lol.
